It's always a pleasure to have your efforts recognised by the outside world!
This was our first award nomination and we were very proud to be recognised in amongst some really great small businesses. The Small Awards is a relatively new awards which was launched in 2017 and targeted at the 5.5 million small business in the UK. As a startup business, we really didn’t expect to even be nominated for awards just after our first full year of trading so it was an amazing feeling to be nominated, shortlisted and to come close runners up. The judges said “It was very tight at the top end of this category and in the end BDI Resourcing came in a close second. The judges felt that BDI Resourcing showed excellence across all criteria, in particular, delivering value for your customers.”
Our second award nomination in quick succession and another incredibly proud moment for the team at BDI Resourcing. In the couple of months since our first award nomination our team had almost doubled in size, we were placing more and more doctors every month and the business was growing from strength to strength. The whole team were in attendance for the exclusive black tie event in London and, needless to say, we had a thoroughly good time (check our social media for the photos!). To finish as runner up in this category was another proud moment for us and testement to the hard work and commitment that our team give to our doctors and hospital clients every day
Attended by 1,200 business leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians and media representatives, these awards have been described by David Cameron, Former Prime Minister, as the Oscars of great British business. We didn’t expect to be nominated as finalists for these awards and cannot wait to attend the awards ceremony in November. We have come along way since our second award nomination and we are growing, not just in headcount and financial strength but also in confidence and determination. With an upcoming presentation to a panel of highly prestigious judges, we are determined to go one better this time and come back as category winners! Keep your eyes peeled for further updates on our social media.
As healthcare recruiters we have a very big responsibility for the success of our doctors and nurses, the future of the NHS and the wellbeing of our own team. We take our role and our profession incredibly seriously and that is why we decided to become recognised members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. Two of our directors hold their Certificates in Recruitment Practice and, as a collective business, we are always ahead of the curve when it comes to legislative changes, industry updates and amendments to standards and practices. We display our REC membership badge with pride and live by the 10 Priniciples set out in the code of practice in everything we do.
As we move from a small business through to a medium sized enterprise we want to be sure that our business has consistent processes for all of our candidates, clients and internal team. By implementing a series of procedures and quality assurances we can be assured that all of our team continue to deliver excellence everyday and to every customer. We are subject to regular audits to ensure our continual commitment to the standards set out in ISO9001:2015 and our primary objectives revolve around maintaining client and candidate satisfaction in all of our business practices.
The UK, through the Department of Health and Social Care, is committed to ensuring ethical recruitment practices operate within the NHS through adherence to the UK Code of Practice (CoP) for international recruitment. The UK code promotes high standards of practice in the international recruitment and employment of healthcare professionals and as a responsible recruitment organisation we follow the guiding principles and best practice benchmarks in all that we do.
