🏥 About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Trust Registrar (ST3+) to join an excellent Acute Medicine service in the South East of England. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of acute medicine, including Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and Acute Medical Units (AMU).
As a Trust Registrar, you will:
- ✅ Manage patients within the Acute Medical Units and SDEC
- 🌙 Participate fully in the medical on-call rota, ensuring comprehensive patient care
- 🎓 Engage in teaching activities, including running AMU teaching sessions, simulation training, and medical student programs

🩺 Key Requirements:
📜 Qualifications:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
🩹 Experience:
- Proven competence in procedures aligned with the Internal Medicine Training (IMT3) curriculum - particularly pleural tap, ascitic tap and lumbar puncture
- Experience in independently managing medical admissions, including running the acute unselected take
- Ability to lead the resus team and regular experience carrying the crash bleep
🛠 Skills:
- Strong desire to pursue a long term career in acute medicine
- Good track record of managing patient flow in a busy setting
- Experience in Same Day Emergency Care is desirable
- Evidence of continuing professional development and familiarity with clinical governance practices
