The Emergency Department is actively recruiting qualified consultants to relocate to the area and join us as substantive consultants. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of one of the largest NHS hospitals in the UK, offering an outstanding learning environment and career development.

Located in the heart of the Midlands, the hospital is situated within a vibrant city known for its strong track record of supporting doctors from diverse backgrounds. This role is ideal for a doctor seeking their first substantive consultant position after completing their specialist registration.

The Job

The successful applicant will join the consultant panel in the Hospital and would be provided with a 10PA job plan. This will include 2.5SPA time to ensure you are supporting all the needs within the department. The following is also expected:

  • Expected to cover shifts across all the Emergency Departments within the trust
  • Ensure high standards and targets are met through teaching and developing the staff within the department
  • Participate and lead the audit and quality improvement projects within the department
  • To maintain the trusts five values
  • To develop a relationship with the clinical governance team and support their ongoing work

The Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of CCT/CESR or being within 6 months of CCT registration
  • GMC registered
  • FRCEM or relevant equivalent qualifications
