We are working with a major healthcare provider to appoint a Consultant in Neurophysiology who will contribute to the growth and development of services while playing a key clinical and teaching role.

Role and Responsibilities

This is a substantive full-time role (10 PAs) with no on-call requirement, offering an excellent work-life balance and opportunities to participate in departmental expansion and innovation.

Key duties include:

  • Delivering regular adult EMG clinics (approximately 15 outpatients per week) and ad-hoc portable EMG for inpatients (1–3 per week).
  • Supporting and training clinical physiologists in upcoming physiologist-led carpal tunnel clinics.
  • Reporting on adult and paediatric EEG studies (approximately 22 per week).
  • Supervising technician-led services and participating in the development of ambulatory EEG and broader electrophysiology services.

The Trust has an outstanding reputation in several specialist fields, including stroke, infectious diseases, and colorectal care. It offers a strong research and education culture, with affiliations to academic institutions and a focus on training, innovation, and clinical excellence.

The Neurophysiology Department is undergoing strategic growth, with planned service expansion including ambulatory EEG and enhanced clinical pathways for neuromuscular diagnostics.

From the multicultural community of Brent to the leafy suburbs nearby, this location provides something for everyone - whether you’re looking for a fast-paced urban lifestyle or quieter residential surroundings.
