We are working with a distinguished Trust searching for a Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in Cardiology. This is an opportunity to join an expanding service, welcoming a brand new Clinical Diagnostic Unit next year. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering exceptional radiological services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive radiology service, including cardiac imaging, to a diverse patient population
- Collaborate closely with a team of 18 Consultant Radiologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic services
- Participate in the development and implementation of protocols within the new Clinical Diagnostic Unit
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient management and treatment plans
- Contribute to teaching and training of junior medical staff and radiographers
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide continuous patient care

The Requirements
Essential criteria:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligibility within six months of the interview date
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience in cardiac imaging
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable criteria:
- Higher Degree (MD/PhD)
- Previous experience in a similar consultant role
- Proven track record in teaching and mentoring
- Participation in research with relevant publications
