An exciting Consultant Radiologist with Musculoskeletal special interest role has become available at a prominent NHS Trust in the West Midlands. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic radiology department within a reputable hospital setting.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive range of diagnostic radiology services, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, mammography, and plain film radiography
- Participate in a 10-session per week schedule, with flexibility
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expert radiological input to support patient management decisions
- Contribute to the training and supervision of junior medical staff and radiographers, fostering a collaborative and educational environment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance departmental services

The Requirements
Essential criteria:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Completion of specialist training in radiology
- Proficiency in a broad range of diagnostic radiology procedures, specific training and experience in MSK radiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable criteria:
- Higher Degree (MD/PhD)
- Area of interest within Radiology
- Experience in teaching and supervising junior staff
- Involvement in research and quality improvement projects
