Your responsibilities will encompass administering anaesthesia, conducting pre-operative assessments, and delivering post-operative care. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the comprehensive treatment of patients across various surgical specialties.

Main Duties of the job

  • Anaesthesia Administration: Utilize your expertise to administer anaesthesia to patients undergoing diverse surgical procedures, tailoring your approach to individual patient needs.
  • Perioperative Care: Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, ensuring patient readiness for surgery. Provide attentive post-operative care to facilitate a smooth recovery process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive and efficient perioperative care team.
  • On-call Duties: Participate in on-call duties as per the departmental rota, contributing to emergency care and ensuring 24/7 coverage.

Requirements

  • GMC Registration: Hold a valid registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register.
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrate a track record of experience as a Consultant Anaesthetist, showcasing your expertise in providing high-quality patient care.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration within the healthcare team.
