  • This is an exciting opportunity if you are looking for a Consultant position in Neurology. This reputable, extremely popular Trust are looking for a driven doctor to help lead the team in the Neurology department.

Main Duties: 

  • Making senior decisions on the ward
  • Deliver outpatient based activities
  • General in patient care in Neurology
  • Attend MDT (Multi disciplinary meetings)
  • Give safe and clinically correct advice to juniors and students when needed
  • Bedside and classroom teaching regularly
  • Promote a friendly and team-based working environment
  • Participate in clinical governance activities including clinical audits, incident reporting, risk management, complaint reviews, CPD. Each specialty has a Consultant Clinical Governance lead.
  • Allocated SPA’s
  • There is opportunity to undertake research. There are University and Trust research facilities available to use for interested doctors.
  • The post-holder will be required to comply with Trust and GMC standards for appraisal and revalidation, including continuing professional development.
  • The post-holder will be required take an active part in the development of the role and to help drive geriatric services forward into the next decade.
  • Participate in the on call rota (1:18)

You will be part of one of the biggest Teaching Hospitals in England that is widely recognized as a leading medical institution. You will be based in one hospital that has two neurosurgical wards, one neurology ward, short stay/investigation area and a critical care area. This hospital provides subspecialty services such as multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, and many more.

Requirements:

  • Full MRCP
  • OET or IELTS
  • Evidence of previous management/leadership responsibilities
