The Job

Are you a motivated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) looking for diverse clinical exposure and hands-on learning opportunities in a regional healthcare setting? BDI Resourcing, are seeking Resident Medical Officers (Unallocated) to provide high-quality medical care under consultant supervision.

As an RMO, you will gain broad experience across multiple specialties, including general medicine, surgery, emergency, obstetrics & gynaecology, and critical care, in a well-supported training environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under consultant and registrar supervision.
  • Perform clinical assessments, investigations, and management plans in line with hospital guidelines.
  • Attend to patients based on medical urgency and clinical priorities.
  • Document accurate and detailed medical records throughout patient care episodes.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend rosters as required.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
  • Liaise with external medical services, including Royal Flying Doctor Service, ambulance, and community health providers.

Training & Development

  • Attend RMO teaching sessions and clinical training programs.
  • Participate in medical student education and mentorship.
  • Engage in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Seek supervision and feedback from senior medical staff to enhance clinical skills.

Administrative Duties

  • Ensure timely discharge summaries and medical reports.
  • Participate in disaster planning, clinical pathway design, and special projects.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, clinical governance, and risk management protocols.

Requirements:
