The Job
Are you a dedicated and passionate medical professional looking to advance your career in emergency medicine? A rural hospital in NSW is seeking highly motivated Emergency Medicine Resident Medical Officers & Senior Resident Medical Officers to join a dynamic and supportive team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients in the emergency department, under the supervision of senior medical staff, and gain valuable experience across a broad range of emergency medical scenarios.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you will be supported in developing your skills in clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and emergency interventions. You will play an important role in the smooth operation of the department, contributing to the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to emergency patients.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in patient handovers and care planning.
  • Support and train junior medical staff.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance activities.

Requirements:

To apply for this position, you will need the following:

  • 12 months NHS experience and completion of PLAB examinations.

OR

  • UK or Irish graduates, and a minimum of two years’ clinical experience.

OR

  • General Registration with Medical Board of Australia.
