BDI Resourcing are looking for an NHS experienced Paediatrician to work as a Senior Clinical Fellow in a major level 3 centre in the Midlands. Working as a Paediatrics doctor in a high level setting will require excellent previous experience and MRCPCH is a must. In return you’ll be supported by one of the best Paediatrics teams in the region and access excellent support for your career progression.

This post is a standalone post outside of the training programme however it provides the same access to training and facilities as those with a national training number. You’ll be responsible for the General Paediatrics departments including supporting the Tier 1 on-call rota.

The Hospital:

The Trust is the largest employer in the city, with more than 10,000 members of staff in 350 different roles. You’ll be based on the main hospital site which has more than 800 beds and offers some of the most highly specialised facilities in the area.

The Paediatrics department itself is known for being incredibly supportive with an excellent track record of onboarding and supporting middle grade paediatrics doctors, many of whom have since become specialist registered via training or CESR / Portfolio Pathways. You’ll be encouraged to progress from the start and your colleagues will always be their to help.

The location:

The cost of living in this area is incredibly reasonable for the amount of amenities available. You’ll be able to choose from modern apartment developments that suit young professionals through to suburban homes for those with families. The area also benefits from excellent schooling facilities with a mixture or colleges, state and public schools, many of which are rated good or outstanding by OFSTED.

Travel links include motorway links that will take you all over the UK as well as a major rail link with direct access to Birmingham, Manchester and London. There is also an international airport within 40 minutes.

Requirements:

In order to be considered eligible for this role, you will need:

  • Full GMC Registration via MRCPCH
  • Ideally have NHS experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role.

As well as the above, the following are also desirable, though not necessarily essential:

  • Life support qualifications such as NLS and APLS/EPLS.
  • Experience with safeguarding cases and level 3 Safeguarding qualification complete
