Senior Clinical Fellow Paediatrics

This wonderful level 3 tertiary centre are working with us to help them secure two registrars to join their growing Paediatrics team. The role presents an excellent opportunity for any doctor wishing to gain Paediatrics experience in a level three environment. There will be opportunities to spend time in Paediatric sub-specialties as part of this role.
Main Duties:
- Work will take place across the breadth of the paediatric department which includes the dedicated Children’s Accident & Emergency department; the in-patient ward; and the Paediatric Outpatient department.
- You’ll be expected to participate in the 1:10 on call rota at ST3+ level.
- Outpatient experience is included in this post and could include either general and rapid referral clinics or specialty clinics depending on your interests.
- Clinical skills will need to be kept up to date through regular CPD.
The Hospital:
The hospital is a large level three tertiary centre with split Paediatrics and Neonatology departments. The team are incredibly friendly and supportive and have a good track record of helping doctors through CESR. Around half of the doctors employed by the Trust are foreign-trained, so your fellow colleagues will be very understanding of your needs if you’re coming to the UK for the first time.
The location:
You’ll be based in a large city in the West Midlands. The city is multicultural and has a rich history of welcoming people from all over the world. Being in the West Midlands you have easy access to the rest of the UK. The standard of schools local to the hospital is excellent at both primary and secondary level, the city is home to two major UK universities. Cost of living here is lower than the average for the rest of England.
Requirements:

- GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Full MRCPCH
- Registrar experience within Paediatrics
- At least 6 years of Paediatrics experience
