The Job
As an ST6 Emergency Medicine Doctor, you will be a key clinical leader, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, supervising junior doctors, and contributing to service development. You will work alongside consultants, specialty doctors, advanced clinical practitioners, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of excellent emergency care.
- Lead the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients in the Emergency Department, ensuring timely decision-making.
- Provide clinical supervision, teaching, and mentorship to junior doctors, medical students, and nursing staff.
- Support and implement quality improvement projects, audits, and research to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in resuscitation, trauma management, and major incident response as required.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with high acuity cases, including trauma, medical, surgical, and paediatric emergencies.
- Engage in clinical governance, risk management, and patient safety initiatives within the department.
- Assist in departmental leadership, rota management, and service development under consultant supervision.

The Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Previous NHS experience in an MTC (Major trauma centre)
- Experience at ST4+ grade in the NHS
- MRCEM qualification.
- ATLS / PALS
- GMC registration in full
