🏥 About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Trust Grade Registrar (ST3+) to join an expanding Acute Medicine service with this incredibly supportive and forward thinking NHS Trust. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of acute medicine, including Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC). As a Trust Registrar, you will:
- Manage patients within the Acute Medical Units (AMU) and SDEC.
- Encounter a diverse range of conditions, providing exposure to specialties such as Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Respiratory Medicine, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Care of the Elderly, and Stroke.
- Participate fully in the medical SpR on-call rota ensuring comprehensive patient care.

🩺 Key Requirements:
📜 Qualifications:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
🩹 Experience:
- Proven competence in procedures aligned with the Internal Medicine Training (IMT3) curriculum.
- Experience in independently managing medical admissions, including running the acute unselected take.
- Ability to work closely with colleagues across various specialties and participate effectively in multidisciplinary team (MDT) working, including complex discharge planning.
🛠 Skills:
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as lumbar puncture, chest drains, and ascitic drains.
- Experience in Same Day Emergency Care is desirable.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and familiarity with clinical governance practices.
