The successful applicant is expected to participate in the General Critical Care Rota (1 in 8 full shift), as well as the day-to-day clinical and managerial running of the critical care units.
The General Critical Care Rota is staffed by doctors of varying seniority from a range of specialties.
It is expected that individual staff perform at a level that is consistent with their grade/ experience.
Critical care clinical duties will be conducted at both the Queen’s Medical Centre and at the Nottingham City Hospital. Where possible, the post will be tailored to individual training needs.
The post is EWTD compliant and Pay Banding is 1A.

This post is an excellent opportunity for overseas anaesthetists who are wishing to pursue a career in intensive care medicine within the UK.
It is a 12 month post.
The first six months is spent as a Trust Grade in Critical Care. You will then progress to spend the remaining 6 months as either a Senior Clinical Fellow in Critical Care or Trust Grade (General Specialties) depending on performance.
We have a proud record of helping doctors progress in their careers, and our Fellows regularly secure prestigious training posts in Critical Care, Anaesthetics, Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
The successful candidate would participate in a full shift rota with a 1 in 8 on call. The post is EWTD compliant and pay banding is 1A.
The post allows the incumbent to build a well-rounded portfolio of clinical experience, teaching and quality improvement.
In addition to a comprehensive induction programme there is regular teaching and 15 days of study leave are allocated per year (pro rata).

BDI Resourcing are seeking an international doctor, that is able to do a night shift rota, to fill a Middle Grade position in ITU within a well supported Midlands NHS Trust
The Role:
The post holder will work in collaboration with the existing Intensive Care and General Anaesthetist team to provide a high quality, progressive professional critical care and anaesthetic service to a broad range of specialties. The appointee must possess a special interest in critical care.
There are 10 theatres including a new Day Care Unit with 3 theatres. There is a Delivery Suite with an adjacent maternity theatre and recovery area. Intensive care Unit has 12 ITU/HDU beds. The theatres accommodate a wide choice of theatre lists including all the usual district general hospital activity. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide a flexible anaesthetic service to a variety of surgical specialties, with an opportunity to develop a particular interest in a sub-speciality e.g. regional anaesthesia, peri-operative medicine.
Please note, this role is only suitable for those willing to work a night shift rota.

Role:
We have a progressive and dedicated team in which you will have the opportunity to develop. Several consultants have regional or national responsibilities; we have an FICM board member, regional clinical lead for organ donation, AAGBI board member, and Training school programme director.
We currently have two vibrant hospital sites each with a varied range of services available, including a 30 bed Critical Care Unit and one planned care hospital site for most elective surgerys. The successful candidate is invited to actively contribute to the redevelopment of the service.
We are research-driven, working in close partnership with Swansea University, its College of Medicine and the Institute of Life Sciences.
You will join an expanding team of 13 Intensivists providing cover for the general Intensive Care Unit. The unit provides critical care services for a range of general and tertiary services providing a highly varied case mix
There are currently 9 Critical Care Consultants based at The Hospital. On call commitments are based on a 1 in 9 basis.
