This post is an excellent opportunity for overseas anaesthetists who are wishing to pursue a career in intensive care medicine within the UK.
It is a 12 month post.
The first six months is spent as a Trust Grade in Critical Care. You will then progress to spend the remaining 6 months as either a Senior Clinical Fellow in Critical Care or Trust Grade (General Specialties) depending on performance.
We have a proud record of helping doctors progress in their careers, and our Fellows regularly secure prestigious training posts in Critical Care, Anaesthetics, Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
The successful candidate would participate in a full shift rota with a 1 in 8 on call. The post is EWTD compliant and pay banding is 1A.
The post allows the incumbent to build a well-rounded portfolio of clinical experience, teaching and quality improvement.
In addition to a comprehensive induction programme there is regular teaching and 15 days of study leave are allocated per year (pro rata).

The post provides an ideal opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their own specialist interests while working in a busy inner city university hospital, with teaching and research responsibilities and are based in the adult side of the department

The main posts include 80% time working in the adult emergency department and 20% paid time to develop in a specialist interest of the successful candidate’s choice, which might include things as diverse as expeditions, humanitarian work, global health or staff wellbeing. The full time posts are based solely in the adult Emergency Department and would be perfect for someone wishing to gain more experience prior to applying for higher EM training – support and advice is available for this.

BDI Resourcing are searching for an international doctor to fill an Emergency Med ST3+ position within an East Midlands NHS Trust
Role:
The successful applicant will begin work at a level commensurate with previous experience, likely to be at ST3-6 (registrar) level. The post holder must be registered with the GMC and hold a licence to practice.
Participation in the Departmental teaching programme will be expected, and you will have a designated Emergency Medicine Consultant supervisor for the duration of your post. Our department consistently receives excellent feedback from trainees regarding the friendly working environment, the approachability and supportiveness of senior staff, and the training opportunities available. The Consultant body has a breadth of experience including an FRCEM examiner, and sub-specialty interests in Geriatric Emergency Medicine, Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine, Wilderness Medicine, Sports medicine, Acute medicine, Education, Emergency ultrasound practitioners, and Level 1 ultrasound trainers.
The successful applicant will initially be offered a permanent post, depending on satisfactory completion of appraisals. Motivated clinicians with sufficient Emergency Medicine experience may wish to discuss the opportunities available for specialty training to support an application for entry to the EM specialist register, and enable consultant appointment via the CESR route.
