As a Trust Registrar in Acute Internal Medicine (ST3+ equivalent level) you will be working in an exciting multidisciplinary medical team. Your Acute Medicine job plan will include time in the Acute Medical Unit, the Short Stay Unit, the Ambulatory Care Unit and treating Acute medical cases in the Emergency Department. Your clinical duties will be as a Trust Registrar in Acute Internal Medicine (AIM). You’ll be treating a wide range of Acute Medical cases in an exciting, busy NHS hospital. The work is split between the Acute Medical Unit, the Short Stay Unit and the Ambulatory Care Unit, and treating Acute medical cases in the Emergency Department. As it is in a large NHS hospital you will be working in a multidisciplinary medicine team and liaising regularly with other specialties within the Trust to provide high quality patient care.
You will not be on a full oncall rota but there will be planned twilight sessions in the medical decision unit (MDU). You will be allocated both a clinical and an educational supervisor to assist with your continuous professional development in the NHS.
