BDI Resourcing are searching for an international Doctor to fill an ST4+ position in Trauma and Orthopaedics in a highly reputable and busy NHS Trust in the Midlands .


The post holder will be required to participate in a 1 in 6 middle grade non-resident on call rota for Trauma and Orthopaedics.

The Trust recognises the importance of continuing medical education / professional development and the successful candidate will be required to participate in the weekly departmental educational programme. 

The timetable includes substantial theatre time, clinics, ward rounds and on call commitments as well as protected time for research and admin. The department is committed to education and there are two formal multidisciplinary educational meetings each week on top of the daily trauma meetings.

The successful candidate will be expected to take part in audit, research and education. They will also be expected to attend appropriate surgical courses for which a study leave budget will be available. The department is committed to supporting the fellow in furthering their skills as a surgeon. 

Our Team consists of 12 Orthopaedic Consultants, 3 Associate Specialists, 6 middle-grade Speciality Doctors, 3 SPRs (ST3), two CT’s, one Trust Doctor (at CT level), two foundation year 2 doctors and 3 foundation year 1 doctors.

The local City and community served by the Trust is highly diverse with a complex mix of clinical and cultural needs. Good working relationships, strong multi-agency working arrangements and integrated pathways already exist between hospital and community health services, primary care, local authority and mental health services.


You must have MRCS or equivalent, full GMC registration with licence to practice and at least 2 years’ experience at middle grade level.
