BDI Resourcing are searching for an international Doctor to fill an ST4+ position within Acute medicine at a highly reputable NHS Trust in the East of England
The Role:
The post holder will be required to follow the acute on-call rota which is a 1:19 rota and the rest of the time will be spent on normal working days (8.30am-5pm) and long days in Ambulatory Assessment (8.30am-5pm) within the AMU department.
There will be the opportunity to develop other areas of interest and this may include completion of a Postgraduate certificate in healthcare education, take part in speciality clinics (subject to specialty approval), get involved in teaching of under- and post-graduate or participation in service improvement projects.
The Acute Medicine Directorate has recently restructured the service for acute medical admissions. This has increased consultant input to front-line care, diagnosis and clinical management during the initial 24-48 hours following admission. We are seeking to lead in developing high quality care in Acute Medicine, including the increasing focus on ambulatory care services, and the development of a medical HDU. The Clinical Fellows are key members of a dedicated junior team for Acute Medicine and are pivotal to the appropriate assessment and management of acutely unwell adult patients.
