We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Consultant Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our friendly, motivated team. The service is developing and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team and shape the future of the service.
You would be joining an established team of 12 consultants to contribute to the reporting of CT, MR, x-rays and acquisition and reporting of ultrasound. Current breast radiologists undertake one stop clinics, MR breast reporting, vacuum biopsies and MDT as part of their regular job plans and ideally the successful candidate would have skills in all these areas. The successful applicant would be expected to participate in the on call rota (1 in 13), unless undertaking a part time pure breast job.
Symptomatic breast imaging services are provided by the breast imaging team independently. The symptomatic service receives approximately 4500 referrals per year. All these referrals are seen in a one stop clinic with surgical and imaging assessment in the same visit. The clinics are well supported by specialist breast care nurses.
