The job will include working as part of our front door ‘frailty team’, sessions in our Rapid Access for Older People Clinic (RACOP) and work on the elderly care wards.
The successful doctor will develop skills in acute geriatrics, comprehensive geriatric assessment, multidisciplinary team working, advanced care planning and rehabilitation.
You will have a clinical and educational supervisor who will support you in developing your career and personal development by providing assistance tailored to your needs – for example, attendance clinics or development of Quality Improvement Projects.

BDI Resourcing are seeking an international doctor for either a Specialty Doctor or Consultant post in Palliative Care and End of Life Medicine.
The palliative care team provides support for the full range of clinical teams working in the teaching hospital. You will join a dynamic and happy team consisting of four consultants, a trust doctor, a specialist trainee, a GPST , seven specialist nurses, 0.5WTE psychologist, dedicated social worker and specialist palliative discharge coordinator. They provide 10 clinics a week, rapid response to ED, acute oncology and front door services, attend all cancer body site MDTs, and work closely with community colleagues.
This new post will also enable the hospital to expand the service provision for patients with non-malignant disease.
We operate a 7-day palliative care service. There is an active outpatient and breathlessness intervention service, an undergraduate and postgraduate teaching program and a well supported audit and research portfolio.
