The Oncology Department provides a comprehensive clinical, radiotherapy, chemotherapy service and Oncology malignancies are treated for the population of Greater Manchester.
Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practise. You will have at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis), at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty. Alternatively you will have equivalent experience and competencies. Your previous experience will include responsibility for Acute Medical Care.
As well as clinical commitments, the posts do carry teaching/learning opportunities and attendance at accredited learning events will be encouraged and funded by the Trust.
You must have full FRCR and a pass in IELTS/OET to apply.

BDI Resourcing are searching for an international doctor to fill the post of Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist within a busy NHS Trust in Greater Manchester.
The Role:
We are keen to appoint a dynamic Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team of 54 Consultant Oncologists working whole-time or part-time in the regional units (22 of whom are University appointments).
The post-holder will also participate in a 1:25 rota for Consultant of the week, AOS for the oncology ward and triage at the Hospital. We are keen that the post holder undertakes and supports the development of our telemedicine clinics, and there will be the opportunity to contribute to service improvement projects in this field.
The oncology department in Oxford moved into a £110M comprehensive diagnostic and treatment cancer centre in 2009. Chemotherapy is prescribed using a pan cancer network e-prescribing system (Aria). The department works closely with the University Department of Oncology providing excellent opportunities for collaborative cancer research.

Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated Oncology Speciality Doctor to join our busy oncology directorate based in a Manchester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work with a team of clinical and medical oncologists. The post holder will provide support to the oncology team which includes a total of 25 clinics per week and two chemotherapy departments (20 sessions per week in total).
The post holder will be required to provide clinical support in most areas of cancer (all tumour groups except for rare and very complex cancers which are referred to the local Cancer Centre). We are specifically looking for a speciality doctor with training and some experience in medical oncology across the range of ‘common’ tumour types.
A flexible and adaptable approach is required to meet the needs of the service. In return, we can offer you a supportive environment with development opportunities. The Trust are committed to supporting you through your clinical audit, research and educational training needs.
The Trust is one of the busiest in the UK providing services to a population of 520,000 people. It provides a comprehensive range of secondary care facilities and is also a tertiary referral and treatment centre for hepato-biliary, head and neck and urological cancers. There is a full team of chemotherapy staff and three senior acute oncology nurses (7-day nursing service) in addition to a fully established team of MDT Coordinators, medical secretaries, cancer nurse specialists, clinical psychology service (for cancer patients) and 2 full time cancer service improvement facilitators. The service covers all major tumour groups. The Cancer Directorate is part of the Surgical and Anaesthetics Division. There is a Lead Cancer Clinician (Clinical Director), Lead Cancer Nurse (Macmillan Assistant Director of Nursing) and a Lead Cancer Manager (Directorate Manager for Cancer & Oncology) heading up the Directorate.

BDI Resourcing are seeking an international doctor for a Locum Consultant Medical Oncology post within a Greater Manchester NHS Trust.
The hospital are looking for someone with a high level of experience and expertise in mutually agreed tumour sites and the ability to demonstrate expertise at consultant level in Medical Oncology. An interest in research and teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates is an advantage.
The Oncology Department currently has 9 Medical Oncology and 12 Clinical Oncology Consultants. The five year plan for the Service will see the number of consultant posts increase with the aim of ensuring that the number of new patients seen per annum per consultant is at Royal College recommended levels.
Applicants must have MBBS or equivalent medical qualification and membership of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent. Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (or expected CCT within 6 months at time of interview), CESR or European Community Rights.
