The Post 

BDI Resourcing are seeking an international doctor for a Clinical Oncology post within a Manchester NHS Trust.

You will join a friendly and supportive department, who will aid you in your CESR application.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the care of oncology in-patients and out-patients of the Trust, supervised by ?£?consultant Clinical and Medical Oncologists with some cross-cover to care for patients who are under?£? the Palliative Care Team.
  • Support the Acute Oncology Service
  • Develop and maintain expertise in the care of Oncology patients.
  • Enhance the quality of service for in-patients and out-patients.
  • Become familiar with national and local protocols and trials.
  • Become familiar with chemotherapy, with its administration and complications and complete the?£? appropriate on-line training programme.
  • Assist in counselling patients and relatives.
  • Be familiar with the management of the complications of chemotherapy, particularly neutropenic?£? sepsis and with the associated (QEH and Anglia Cancer Network) protocols for their management.
  • Be competent in the management of other oncological emergencies such as spinal cord compression and superior vena caval obstruction.
  • Carry out practical procedures, including pleural aspiration and paracentesis abdominis.
  • Assist in the teaching of junior medical staff and nursing staff.
  • Assist in data collection and interpretation for audit.

Post Requirements

This post requires full FRCR and a pass in IELTS or OET to evidence your English language skills.
