As an ST3 in General Medicine you will be covering a wide range of medical cases in this busy London hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to experience all aspects of General Internal Medicine in the NHS.

The hospital is based on the outskirts of London and has just over 450 inpatient beds. The Medicine Division is the biggest in the hospital so you will be working within a large team committed to maintaining a high standard of patient care. As a General Medicine doctor, you will be working alongside specialists in all medical sub-specialties.
You will have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement, audit and research projects within your team. Further, you will have access to teaching activities such as Journal Clubs, Grand Rounds etc., and the large on-site library.

As a Senior Clinical Fellow in Acute Medicine, you will form an important part of a team set up to assess and immediately manage acute medical emergencies. The position will cover a wide variety of medical specialties, you will also be expected to work closely with colleagues in the Emergency Department and Critical Care. Given the diverse nature of the cases you will handle, the post provides an excellent base for doctors looking to progress into any sub-specialty within Medicine.
If you have experience in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and/or Intensive Care and are looking for an exciting next step full of unexpected challenges this is the right opportunity for you.
Your work will be split between the Acute Medical Unit, the Short Stay Unit and the Ambulatory Care Unit, you’ll also treat Acute medical cases in the Emergency Department. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaising regularly with other specialties within the Trust to provide high quality patient care.

? Supervision of junior doctors and nursing staff
? Active participation in departmental meetings
? Contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
