You will join a friendly, supportive and dynamic department.
The hospital houses the regional renal, oncology, cardiac, HIV and infectious diseases services. There is also a stroke ward, a large accident and emergency department, a busy intensive care unit and general vascular surgery services on site. There is a 39 bedded acute medical unit adjacent to A&E.
There are eight consultant geriatricians working within the Geriatric Medicine department, covering four main elderly care wards. All elderly care wards are supported by daily input from the multidisciplinary teams.
The Geriatric Medicine department provide a front door frailty service and as part of the post, you will rotate through ‘frailty weeks’ based in A&E and the Acute Assessment Unit.
This post requires full MRCP and a pass in IELTS or OET.

The registrar role is to provide senior leadership and strong, safe clinical decision making, with support and guidance from our team of Consultants. You will work primarily within EAU – which includes our Medical Day Unit, Ambulatory Care, Short Stay and our unique High Observation Unit. You may however be expected to undertake duties within other areas, and there is an expectation to undertake on-call duties (I in 13) as part of the role.

BDI Resourcing are looking for an international doctor to fill a Registrar position in Geriatric Medicine within a busy NHS Trust in Greater London.
The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate high quality person-centred care for the patients on the ward, ensuring that all patients admitted have a diagnosis and treatment plan, and receive a daily medical review. The post holder will work closely with the medical team and wider multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver excellent patient care and developments and improvements to service provision.
Currently the department has specialist services for older people including Memory specialist clinics, Falls clinics and Tilt Tables. We have an established ambulatory frailty assessment unit within the hospital grounds, giving patients same day access to comprehensive geriatric assessment including diagnostics, well supported by 3 frailty nurses, Rehabilitation and Social teams. The deparrtment work closely with the falls specialist nurses and their Dementia specialist nursing teams.

BDI Resourcing are searching for an international doctor to fill a Locum Acute Medicine Consultant position within a highly reputable London NHS Trust.
The team of Consultants in Acute Medicine provides a pivotal role in providing timely access to emergency medical care for the population. There is a dedicated Acute Medical Unit (AMU) for GP referred patients with assessment space and a short stay inpatient area. The team also runs the Ambulatory Care Unit which has outpatient and trolley-based areas for assessment and treatment. The team also provides support to other medical staff in managing patients referred to medicine within the Emergency Department.
You will work closely with colleagues in Acute, General and Emergency medicine to provide support to an unselected medical take. There is close support from medical specialties including Respiratory, Stroke Medicine, Cardiology, Care of the Elderly and Diabetes and Endocrinology.
