This post would suit doctors with an interest in developing acute Paediatric skills from the Emergency Medicine, General Practice and Paediatric backgrounds.
The post will be solely based in the Paediatric Emergency Department (PED).
The unit is supported by a large inpatient paediatric unit, with most paediatric subspecialties represented on site including paediatric surgery, anaesthetics and the regional burns unit.
This post requires full MRCPCH and a pass in IELTS or OET.

You will join a team of Consultant Neonatologists undertaking inpatient and outpatient work, Speciality Doctors, Clinical Research Fellows and Neonatal Nurses.
All rotas are compliant with the European Working Time Directive.
The neonatal department within the hospital has a strong educational and academic base and many opportunities exist for the post holder to acquire clinical skills and training as well as audit and research experience.
The post is exactly comparable to training posts in terms of opportunities and many doctors have progressed to appointment in paediatric training programmes.
