The successful doctor will be covering all aspects of inpatient care, including long day ward cover and night shifts.

Role:
The post holder will work collaboratively with the acute Neonatal team to provide routine day to day acute neonatal services. There will also be additional on call commitment supporting both Neonates and General Paediatrics.
We currently offer our patients a wide range of acute paediatric and neonatal which this post is expected to contribute to.
Specifically this post would include providing attending consultant of the week with a 1 in 4 frequency in our Neonatology Unit.

BDI Resourcing are currently looking for an international Doctor to work in a busy London NHS Trust as a Clinical Fellow within Paediatrics
The Role:
It is a middle-grade post and the post-holder will be based in general paediatrics. The post-holder will be expected to participate in the middle grade on-call rota. The Fellow will receive clinical and pastoral supervision as for other middle grade doctors. This will involve regular meetings with consultant mentor, appraisal and 360 or TAB assessments.
The post will allow the post-holder to gain experience in a sub-specialty of general paediatrics, working alongside one of the consultants. Opportunities to be involved in research are also available and we would support the development of a feasible local research project. There will be opportunities to be involved with various regional working groups linked to the chosen area of special interest through Partners in Paediatrics
These post consists of on average 48 hours per week and attract a 1a banding (50%). We offer 27 days of annual leave + bank holidays.
The training we provide includes shop floor management of trauma, medical, surgical, psychiatry and Paediatric cases. All Training will be provided by Emergency Medicine Consultant, Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant

You will be required to work in the paediatric department as well as NICU and Paediatric ED.
On the Children’s Ward elective, emergency and day-stay surgery is accommodated as well as medical emergency and day-stay admissions. There are three six bedded rooms, a four cot nursery divided into separate cubicles and remaining beds are within side-rooms. There are several high dependency beds on the ward to enable sick children to be managed locally where possible.
Excellent links are in place with other tertiary centres, many providing visiting Consultants for joint specialist multidisciplinary clinics.
Our Level 2 Neonatal Unit opened in October 1995 as part of the centralisation of acute services at Southend. There are 18 cots, of which two are intensive, three high dependency and 14 special care cots. The Unit is very well equipped to a high standard and there are excellent facilities for both staff and parents.
The trust is dedicated to supporting and developing trainees in their career choice and has an excellent Postgraduate Medical Centre which carries a full programme of events and offers access to a Medical Library.
