BDI Resourcing are searching for an international Doctor to fill a ITU Consultant position within an NHS Foundation Trust in the North East of England.
We wish to recruit enthusiastic and energetic doctors who wish to provide high quality clinical care as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. We would welcome applications from senior registrars or established consultants with a specific interest in critical care medicine. You will support our departments to maintain the high quality of anaesthetic and critical care services throughout the Trust.
The Critical Care Unit at the Hospital has 22 beds. Both are mixed adult medical and surgical units. The Trust has recently committed to a multi-million pound investment to design and build a new critical care unit incorporating the Level 1 Enhanced Surgical Care Unit.
The successful applicants will join the dedicated Intensive Care Consultant rota, acting as Consultant of the Week (Mon-Fri) with a separate weekend on call (Fri-Mon) on a rolling 1 in 9 pattern. This on call is supported by a dedicated ICU trainee out of hours. We are proud of our training reputation and consistently rate amongst the highest scoring Trusts in the GMC training survey.
The site benefits from excellent support from a range of multidisciplinary services including daily ward round input from microbiology, pharmacy, and physiotherapy amongst others. There are weekly consultant outreach sessions in place with a view to expanding this service, and a 7-day nurse outreach service closely incorporated into each ICU team.
