The Trust is recognised internationally for its work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, cardiac, haemato-oncology, fetal medicine, stroke, major trauma, and Emergency Department.
The post would offer excellent experience for doctors planning a career in general medicine. We can offer a wide range of subspecialty experience and educational opportunities to support professional development. You will be able to take part in speciality clinics (subject to specialty approval) and get involved in teaching of under- and post-graduate or participation in service improvement projects.
The appointee will join 6 clinical fellows and work with 14 consultants, in a hugely supported environment with consultant presence on the unit between 08:00 – 21:30, which offers the ideal setting for a trainee to develop further the required skills of a medical registrar.

BDI Resourcing are seaching for an Acute Medicine Doctor to take an ST3+ position within a Manchester and North of England NHS University Teaching Hospital..
We have a dedicated built unit to deliver Same Day Medical Care. The unit is open from 08.00 to 22.00 and has eight treatment chairs, eight trollies, two clinic rooms, two side rooms and two RATS bay, delivering brilliant same day care. The AMU has 53 beds.
We are looking for an individual with excellent acute care skills, who will help us in our aim to return patients to their homes as soon as possible; staff will be required to be proactive in driving the patient journey and looking at all alternatives to admission beyond 12-24 hours as part of a close multidisciplinary team.
The Acute Medical team consists of nine Consultants and two Specialty Doctors.
You will have access to study leave and the experience will be equivalent to a training post. You will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of the substantive posts within the Trust.
