BDI Resourcing are seeking an international doctor for a Specialty Doctor Haematology post within a North East England NHS Trust.
The Haematology department works with the Oncology and Palliative care teams sharing access to 100 inpatient beds as well as 5 HEPA filtered rooms to support autologous transplantation. There is a large outpatient unit and day therapy centre within the centre.
The successful doctor will join a team consisting of 6 full time Consultant Haematologists, 3 Specialty Registrars, and four Specialty Doctors (including these posts), one ST2 and 1 FY doctor. There are 3 Specialist Nurses supporting adult patients with malignant disorders, 1 Specialist Nurse supporting Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) and 2½ Specialist Nurses supporting patients with bleeding disorders. There is a well established and active transfusion team with 3 Transfusion Practitioners. There is active participation in clinical research supported by Research Nurses and a team of Data Managers and MDT staff. The department also benefits from links with the on-site Academic Oncology Department, the Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service within the local Medical School.
Full CESR support will be provided.
