The team are looking for an experienced individual with previous NHS experience to join their team.
The successful applicant will be joining an enthusiastic, dedicated team who cover a wide range of different specialties and provide general and sub specialist paediatric care.
Main Duties:
As an ST3+ in General Paediatrics and Neonatology you will be expected to:
- Attend ward rounds, out-patient clinics and visit to individual patients as necessary.
- Manage children in the Child Assessment Unit (CAU).
- Take part in the supervision of the work of junior medical doctors in the Paediatric wards, the assessment unit, the postnatal wards, the delivery suite and the clinics.
- Attend the “post-take” ward rounds with the Consultant on-call.
- Participate in teaching and training of junior staff, medical students, nurses and paramedics where appropriate.
- Attend an APLS/NLS course if not already trained.
- Ensure children are fit for discharge.
- Become acquainted with management protocols for Paediatrics and help to update them.
- Fulfil the duty of the weekly timetable including any out-of-hours responsibilities.
- Attend an Induction Course which includes awareness training of NHS Structure and Local Trust Management.
- Share responsibility with colleagues for the day-to-day management of the paediatric department.
- Ensure delivery of a high-quality Paediatric service.
- Have awareness of the public health aspects of children’s health.
- Understand the balance and interaction of psycho-social and medical factors affecting children’s health.
- Have responsibility for ensuring active participation in their own continuing medical education (CME).
- Actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.
- Attend meetings as appropriate.
- To carry out the routine daily duties on the Neonatal Unit
- To provide support for the Juniors in the routine service on the maternity wards and delivery suite during normal working hours and out of hours when on call.

Registrar in Paediatric Medicine
This is a fantastic role for a dedicated paediatric doctor looking to work in a supportive NHS trust with a track record of onboarding and developing internationally trained doctors. This is a Paediatrics only role where the successful candidate will work in the acute in-patient ward, PAU, HDU and attend on calls in the ED for paediatric Resuscitation.

ST4 Paediatrics
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Specialty (ST4+) Registrar to work at a brand new, state of the art, modern hospital in the North East of England!
The post:
- This post is available due to a specialist doctor moving into Paediatric training programme, so great position if your end goal is to also get into training.
- 12 PA rota, which covers neonatal unit, delivery suite, postnatal ward, paediatric ward and paediatric assessment units in rotation.
Duties:
- The postholder will be expected to work closely with the nursing staff and allied health professionals as part of multi-disciplinary team to provide effective care and will supervise the junior doctors.
- They will take a full part in departmental clinical governance and audit activity.
- Sub-specialty outpatient experience in respiratory medicine, haematology, gastro-enterology, HIV & ID, endocrinology & diabetes at the discretion of the postholder.

BDI Resourcing are searching for a Doctor to fill a Middle Grade (Registrar) General Paediatrics and Neonatology post in a University Hospital in the North East.
Role:
- The post is in general paediatrics with an on call work of 1:9 rota.
- The post holder will join the existing team of consultant paediatricians, speciality doctors and speciality trainees working in the Paediatric Directorate
- This is an excellent opportunity for a Middle Grade Registrar to further develop skills in diagnostics and management skills on one of the busiest hospitals in the North East
- There is full support of allied services including 24 hour diagnostics, laboratory services and radiology, with facilities for MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Gamma Camera and Fluroscopy.
