This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Senior Clinical Fellow to join a team in the provision of General medical services in the North West of England. 

IMPORTANT: You’ll be based in a sub-specialty of your choosing and the Trust are open to rotations if wanted.


The post: 

  • Job plan based around your experience and interests.
  • They provide and co-ordinate internal and external training, for clinical and non-clinical staff, facilitate team and personal development and provide 24/7 library access to knowledge resources.

Duties: 

  • The core duties of the post holder are to provide clinical leadership, senior decision making and mentoring to junior medical staff, and complement the roles of the Consultants in the Department.
  • The post holder will be expected to participate in education, teaching and governance, including audit and appropriate quality improvement projects.
  • In line with requirements of clinical governance, the appointee will be expected to participate in clinical audit, including where appropriate, local on-going and new audits, and specialty regional and national audit programmes.

  • The Trust supports the requirements for continuing professional development as laid down by the Royal College of Medicine and is committed to providing time and financial support for these activities.
