BDI Resourcing has a position available for an SHO in Acute Medicine! The Trust has an outstanding CQC rating and their core principles circulate around ensuring that patients and staff are treated with dignity and respect whilst promoting equality and diversity!

The post: 

  • The successful applicant will join a dynamic, large and welcoming multidisciplinary team to provide inpatient and outpatient care.
  • The post holder will also be encouraged to take part in the department’s active research & audit programme, using timetabled study time, with the expectation of publishing and presenting regionally, nationally and internationally.
  • The post also includes responsibilities to develop and contribute to continuing education, professional development and audit.

Duties of the post: 

  • Review of patients in all outpatient clinics, alongside the Consultant and MDT, including those patients seen on an ad hoc basis at short notice.
  • Helping to ensure patient admissions run smoothly, efficiently and effectively by encouraging MDT working.
  • Ongoing training of junior medical staff as appropriate.
  • Active participation in departmental meetings
  • Participate in service development and improvement through commitment to clinical governance
  • Take part in and lead as appropriate, team, departmental and regional audits. The post holder will be expected to organise and participate in clinical and organisational practice audit.
  • Comply with GMC guidance on Good Medical Practice

Additional support 

  • A personal educational supervisor will be appointed to the successful applicant. 


  • Full GMC 
  • MRCP or equivalent
