The successful candidate will join a well-established team of doctors to carry out child development and neuro-disability assessment at a regional scale. The applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing a comprehensive service with patient care at its heart.

The Job

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Undertake Child development and neuro-disability assessments
  • Contribute to safeguarding clinics and be present in medicals for suspected neglect and abuse
  • Participation in medical examinations for urgent sexual abuse cases
  • Be involved in clinical audit for areas of interest and sub-specialist expertise
  • Coordinate care for chronic, special and complex needs e.g. neutralizability, epilepsy, genetic disorders

The trust is eager to give the successful applicant the opportunity to develop a sub speciality interest such as neuro-disability, education, sleep etc.

The Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • GMC Registered with full MRCPCH
  • Experience In neutralizability and child developmental assessment
  • UK based community or acute paediatric experience
  • Exceptional communication skills and professionalism
  • An in depth and demonstrable knowledge of audit, quality improvement and clinical governance.
