You’ll be providing medical cover as a Trust-grade Stroke Registrar for the hospital’s Acute Stroke Unit (ASU). It is a 46 bedded unit, it provides in-patient stroke care as part of the Trust’s stroke services.
You’ll be doing ward rounds and on-calls in the stroke medicine department.
There will be the option to explore further sub-specialties within Medicine for those interested.
The Trust has an excellent reputation for providing educational support to incoming doctors - each hospital site has an Education Centre giving dedicated space to staff development. These include a library and fully equipped simulation skills rooms to support both clinical skills and multidisciplinary team development.
The Trust has a long history of helping doctors from overseas get used to the NHS system so you will feel the impact of an excellent onboarding programme if joining internationally.
