The Post

BDI Resourcing is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated international doctor to join a SHO Trauma and Orthopaedics post within a South West NHS Trust - located in a beautiful part of the country.

The post holder will rotate through the elective ward, trauma ward and theatres. You will be responsible for the admission, clerking and day to day care of patients on the Orthopaedic wards and any outlying wards as required. You will attend daily trauma meetings, ward rounds, clinics and operating sessions as required. You will also be expected and encouraged to maintain the good working relationships which exist with all other staff in the hospital.

Please note that this is a non-training post and therefore not approved by the Deanery. The post holder will, however, receive the same training and experience in line with the existing trainee doctors and be allocated an Educational Supervisor.

The Department

The Orthopaedic Surgery Department provides a comprehensive service in both acute and outpatient cases for the South West Trust and surrounding area. The majority of acute Orthopaedic trauma is directly referred from the Accident & Emergency Department. (Head injuries are dealt with by the Department of General Surgery).
