The post offers unique training opportunities in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, including exposure to treatment and management of Rare Bone Disorders. A range of services are provided from secondary care for local population, through to specialist care provision. There will be the opportunity to participate in research, teaching and audits.

There are opportunities to specialise within Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology.
The posts are for up to one year initially, pending satisfactory performance review.
You will integrate into the middle grade tier of doctors covering ward rounds, labour ward, obstetrics, theatre and postnatal wards, participating in a 1:10 full shift rota. There is the possibility of one combined clinic with the consultants per week. Applicants should have experience in neonatal resuscitation and the stabilisation of ill neonates.

The successful doctor will be covering all aspects of inpatient care, including long day ward cover and night shifts.
This will involve delivering care to babies in the intensive care, high dependency and special care areas. In addition, there will opportunities to take part in departmental audit and governance projects.
