Consultant Radiologist with interests in nuclear medicine and PET
Applications open for a Consultant Radiologist with interests in nuclear medicine and PET. The position is within an incredible NHS teaching Trust in Wales.
The post:
- The Trust offer a variety of innovative diagnostic work (including PETCT),molecular radiotherapy and research work.
- The Trust run specialist therapy clinics and support multiple tertiary level MDTs (thyroid, NET, paediatric oncology, GI, urology, lymphoma & lung).
- The Trust provide research trials support and train undergraduates/postgraduates.

Duties:
- Take a shared responsibility for the day to day running of the nuclear medicine department. This includes diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET CT scans, in/outpatient and day case molecular radiotherapies and research support.
- Be encouraged to develop new techniques/spheres of interest, either within the current nuclear medicine practice or beyond it

- The post-holder will assist with the safeguarding of high standards of care by participating in the creation of an environment in which excellence in clinical care will flourish.
- To deliver a high-quality imaging service with a focus on subspecialty imaging and associated interventions.
- To share, with colleagues in the Imaging Department, the management of all patients referred to the Trust.
- To have responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional development (CPD).
