BDI Resourcing are seeking an international Doctor to fill a Consultant Anaesthetics & ICU position within a highly reputable Midlands NHS Trust.
Role:
The Anaesthetic and Critical Care Department serves a modern and recently expanded theatre and day surgery complex with adjacent ITU and HDU facilities. The Department has an excellent reputation and enthusiasm for Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching and would support applicants if there was a specific teaching interest.
The Critical Care Unit consists of 5 Funded ITU beds and 8 funded HDU beds. There are currently 8 Consultants with a special interest in Critical Care Medicine. We have also appointed an Associate Specialist in Intensive care to support the expanding department. We have FICE echo accreditation.
Along with our anaesthetic colleagues we have been rated top 10 for training in the 2017 GMC trainees’ survey and we are the most popular unit in the deanery for ACCS trainees. We have a strong commitment to support, mentorship and development of all of our staff and have regular multidisciplinary meetings. We have friendly and patient-orientated relations with parent teams and clear patient flows through the ICU.
As a Consultant you will be required to participate in Consultant Appraisal and Job Plan Reviews on an annual basis and the revalidation process in line with your professional registration.

Specialty Doctor ICU
BDI Resourcing are searching for an international Doctor to fill a Specialty Doctor position within a highly reputable NHS Trust within the Midlands
Role:
- This post would be ideally suited to candidates with anaesthetic experience who are aiming to advance their CV while gaining critical care experience.
- Paid CPD time of 1.5 days per week is allocated for the successful candidate to pursue their clinical/ nonclinical interests. This time may also be used for postgraduate exam preparation (e.g. Primary FRCA).
- The Senior Clinical Fellow will gain experience in management of Critical Care patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. The post allows the Fellow to build a well-rounded portfolio of clinical experience, service development/audit, teaching and management
- The successful candidate would participate in a full shift rota with a 1 in 8 on call. The post is EWTD compliant and pay banding is 1A.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be doctors who hold Full registration with the GMC and have successfully completed foundation year 2 training.

ST3+ Intensive Care
BDI Resourcing are searching for a Doctor to fill an ST3+ Intensive Care post within a highly reputable NHS Trust in the East Midlands
Role:
- These posts are part of the middle grade rota so candidates must have at least two years post-registration experience in acute specialties which have regular contact with critically ill patients, ideally with at least 6 months at ST3 level or above.
- These posts are particularly suitable for candidates considering out of program experience from their base specialty at intermediate, or advanced level of ICM training, or those requiring additional post-CCT experience in a major teaching hospital.
- Trainees from a Medicine, Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine or Surgery background are all equally welcome.
- As well as an amazing clinical experience, opportunities exist for training/experience in other areas of interest such as management, echocardiography, bronchoscopy and education.
