An incredible role to work as an Acute Medicine ST3+ in one of the most prestigious hospitals in the West Midlands region.
Alongside the details outlined above, you will receive an excellent induction and orientation period from a department with a great track record of onboarding and developing international and UK based doctors.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Acute Medicine Registrar role. This is an ST3+ equivalent position ideal for applicants with Registrar level experience overseas, or UK experience at any grade. The majority of the duties will be spent on the Acute Medicine Unit (AMU), Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and the Medical Decisions Unit (MDU). This involves treating patients as they are presenting to the hospital with medical emergencies. This means it is a highly multidisciplinary role, where you’d be liaising regularly with the Emergency Medicine team, Frailty and Elderly Care physicians and other medical sub-specialties. You’d be working a full Registrar on call rota averaging roughly 48 hours of work per week. This invites additional financial enhancements for participating on the oncall rota.
This job really suits doctors who are moving to the UK for training and development. The Acute Medicine team put a sharp focus on assisting applicants with training application portfolios or alternatively supporting doctors through the CESR pathway. You will need to have MRCP as well as IELTS or OET and be ready for GMC Registration.
