BDI Resourcing are seeking a motivated international doctor for a Senior Registrar role caring for elderly patients within a hospital in the Midlands.
You will join a supportive and friendly department who will provide you with full CESR support
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care of frail, elderly patients throughout their pathway.
- You will be expected to undertake full clinical duties including the daily clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care planning of medical patients, providing immediate care to deteriorating patients, including resuscitation where appropriate, appropriate referrals to other relevant specialist teams where indicated, and ensuring safe discharge and follow up in due course.
Post Requirements
You will be expected to have full MRCP and a pass in IELTS/OET to evidence your English language skills.

The post is for 10 programmed activities and is for an initial period of 12 months with the option on review to extend for a further 12 months.
The successful doctor will join our acute medicine faculty, which combines consultants in acute medicine with those from a range of other specialties who contribute to the delivery of acute medical care. The hospital are looking for a doctor who can add to the broad mix of skills and expertise within the department and help us further develop our service to deliver high quality and innovative acute medical care to their local population.

The Gastroenterology Department provides services to a local population of approximately 650,000, with tertiary services (including UGI and HPB cancer services, viral hepatitis treatment, TIPSS and advanced endoscopy) offered to the rest of the West Midlands.
The successful candidate will be expected to be a part of 5 specialist registrars and 3 staff grades.
Participating in General medical on call at the registrar level is required.

Registrar Geriatrics
The Post
BDI Resourcing are seeking an international doctor for a Registrar Geriatrics post within a University Hospital in the West Midlands.
You will be able to develop individualised educational goals including experience within all clinical areas covering the geriatric specialty curriculum, in the same way as a trainee on the specialty training programme.
We welcome applicants who are motivated to become part of the implementation of a new model of Acute Geriatric care, with enhanced and rapid specialty input, alongside an elderly frail medical assessment and admissions unit run by the Care of the Elderly team.
If you are looking for further geriatrics experience plus the ability to develop your sub-specialty interests, then you would be well suited to this position, which will both increase your level of confidence and provide strong CV development with the aim of securing a specialty training post.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clerk patients admitted on emergency take days
- Manage patient’s medical illnesses under supervision
- Request investigations / treatments for patients
- Take patient histories and carrying out routine patient examinations
- Communicate with patients
- Attend and undertake ward rounds as required
- Provide cover for colleagues in an emergency and when on annual / study leave
- Participate in the training of medical students attached to the Firm
- Provide discharge summaries etc
- To promote good liaison with General Practitioners,
- Liaise with patients' relatives and provide on-call services as required
- Although this post does not have a recognized training number, the educational opportunities are the same and can count towards training experience
