ST3+ in Acute Medicine
BDI Resourcing is very excited to be offering several roles in Acute Medicine at ST3 level. These positions would be perfect for any IMG's looking to pursue their first position withing the NHS. The Trust is looking to expand their department and have recently done some fantastic work with several IMGs!
The post:
- Whilst this is more of a registrar post, there will be more senior support available in the department at all times in the form of either a consultant or more senior registrar grade doctor.
- Study leave can usually be arranged, subject to notice, for educational activities relevant to acute medicine. Relevant study-leave includes life-support courses, other general medicine courses, and preparation for exams.
- Funding is available for educational activities such as e-learning, and e-portfolio access.
- As a forward-thinking department, interested in reviewing outcomes and improving quality they encourage involvement in clinical audit.
Duties of post:
- The post holder will be supported and expected to fulfil the CPD requirements of the Royal College of Physicians.
- There will be regular appraisals and mentoring with an engaged and motivated Acute medicine Consultant.
- The post-holder will be strongly encouraged to work towards post-graduate examinations (if not already held).
Additional support:
- CESR support provided for those accumulating evidence for specialist registration application.

Acute Medicine Consultant
BDI Resourcing are searching for an international Doctor to fill a Consultant post in Acute Medicine in the West midlands
Role:
- The successful applicants will play a pivotal role in the care of the acutely ill patient, working alongside the 9 Consultants in Acute Medicine (with the planned expansion to 12 Acute Physicians and a number of Specialty Doctors).
- The Department of Acute Medicine is part of the Integrated Care Group Division of the Trust and works closely with the Emergency Department to provide high quality care to a catchment population of approximately 520,000.
- The department of Acute Medicine consists of an Acute Medical Unit and an Acute Ambulatory Assessment Unit
- Our Acute Medical Unit has significantly expanded to an 82-bedded unit in the last 18 months with improved facilities, additional staff, point-of-care ultrasound facilities, and newly recruited Advanced Nurse practitioners.
- There is ongoing expansion of ambulatory care services, and there are multiple in-reach services into AMU. We are one of the Future Hospitals sites and are working towards a future hospital model of acute care.
