BDI Resourcing are searching for an international Doctor to fill a Specialty Paediatric position within an honourable NHS Trust in the West Midlands
The post offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in paediatric and neonatal medicine. We are looking to appoint a full time paediatric specialty doctor for a fixed term period of 12 months with the opportunity of a future substantive appointment.
The successful applicant will be expected to work as part of a wider team and will be required to contribute to the ongoing development of the Paediatric Department at the Hospital. The successful candidate will take part in a 1 in 7 second on call, EWTD compliant, full shift rota.
The Paediatric Department prides itself on being a caring and supportive team within the Women & children’s directorate division. There are 2 adjacent Children’s Wards (24 beds in total) and accommodates both general paediatric/surgical inpatients and day case surgery. This also includes a 6 bed Paediatric Assessment Unit. The work of these 2 wards is closely coordinated and caters for the spectrum of needs from infancy to adolescence. Staff rooms are close to the wards, maintaining the very happy and effective teamwork developed over the years between hospital, medical, and nursing staff. The Neonatal Unit with 14 cots, including a short term intensive care and 2 HDU cots supports the maternity unit with over 3,000 deliveries per year.
