The Department sees approximately 90,000 new patients a year with a mix of cases including Paediatrics, major trauma, critically ill Medical and Surgical patients, which presents an excellent educational opportunity.
The Emergency Medicine Consultants are committed to providing experience and training to their staff in all areas of Emergency Medicine. Formal and informal teaching is provided and educational advancement and audit will be actively encouraged and supervised in working hours, within a 48-hour rota. There is an active senior doctor teaching programme both locally and regionally. As part of the further training for Specialty doctors, we are planning to offer secondment to essential specialities that form part of the emergency medicine curriculum e.g. acute medicine, paediatrics, ITU & anaesthesia. This would be tailored to the needs of the individual doctor.
Successful post holder will be expected to lead the assessment, resuscitation, management and safe transfer (where necessary) of seriously ill and injured patients. Provide supervision to junior staff and undertake regular teaching and education sessions. You would be required to play an active role in the day-to-day management and administration of the Emergency department, ensuring all targets are achieved and high quality, safe patient care is delivered.
Salary and Relocation Expenses
Between £45-70k per annum

It is expected that you will act as a role model for the medical students and junior doctors will have excellent clinical acumen, good communication skills, initiative and leadership.

We are seeking an international doctor for an SHO Trauma and Orthopaedics post within a University Hospital located in the South East of England.
You will be responsible for the day to day care of patients in the Orthopaedic Trauma Unit. You will be spending your time split between theatre and the fracture clinic.
Previous fellows have been involved in around 200 trauma cases in 6 months, including around 30 hip fractures, 20 ankle fractures, and multiple cases, including pelvic and acetabular cases.
You will be on-call at weekends when one of the OTU consultants is operating, and your main duties will be in theatre, and responding to trauma alerts.
There will be some day time on call duties for trauma, but no night on calls or pre-op clinic duties, therefore ensuring that you are present routinely in the week to allow continuity of care for patients.

We are seeking an international Radiologist with a Specialist Interest in Head and Neck.
You will be joining a friendly, hard working, forward thinking and supportive department.
This is a great opportunity to work with UK doctors to meet a steadily rising demand for all imaging, but in particular, to contribute to the delivery and development of the strong services already provided in diagnostic neuroradiology and Head & Neck Imaging.
The successful applicant will work closely with friendly and dynamic multidisciplinary teams, and the regional neurosurgical centre. Four radiologists currently support the Neurology MDT and three radiologists support the Head and Neck Cancer MDT, therefore the appointee will be joining an established team. Radiology support is also provided for Thyroid & Endocrine and Benign ENT meetings.
The department already provides a broad range of neuroimaging / Head & Neck services however, experience in emergent specialist techniques and an interest in expanding existing services to support these techniques would be particularly valued and actively supported. Expertise in neck ultrasound and biopsies would also be highly desirable but is not essential.
