The post offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in paediatric and neonatal medicine. We are looking to appoint a full time paediatric specialty doctor for a fixed term period of 12 months with the opportunity of a future substantive appointment.

Staff rooms are close to the wards, maintaining the very happy and effective teamwork developed over the years between hospital, medical, and nursing staff. The Neonatal Unit with 14 cots, including a short term intensive care and 2 HDU cots supports the maternity unit with over 3,000 deliveries per year.

This post provides support to the consultants and multidisciplinary team carrying out comprehensive geriatric assessment within the Acute Medical Unit and Emergency Department, as well as support to one of the inpatient wards. Other duties include seeing referrals from non-medical specialities and teaching 4th year medical students. The post will include work at registrar level on the general medical on-call rota, comprising some nights and weekends, depending on the candidate’s speciality skills and experience.
The post would particularly suit someone planning to commence training in Geriatric Medicine, or from an Emergency Medicine or Acute Medicine background who wishes to gain specific skills in Acute Geriatric Medicine.

We are looking for an outstanding, forward-looking radiologist to join our friendly team of 22 consultant radiologists (18.9 wte), comprising 14 general, 4 musculoskeletal and 4 interventional radiologists.
The successful applicant will provide a full range of radiology including CT, MRI, plain film, ultrasound and fluoroscopy. Participation in orthopaedic, rheumatology and sarcoma multidisciplinary team meetings is also expected. There will also be a component of general cross-sectional radiology within the job plan. The postholder will be part of the registrar supported on-call for general radiology (currently 1 in 10.5).
