BDI Resourcing have been awarded to RM6229 Lot 1 which allows NHS organisations to access our executive search services for permanent UK clinical recruitment. We operate with the sole focus of uniting the most talented doctors with NHS departments in alignment with the NHS Long Term Plan and People Plan and have spent years developing this offering; constantly enhancing our techniques and tailoring our approach to meet the very different needs of each NHS client we partner with. Lot 1: Staffing Groups and Regions Covered

Over 100 NHS organisations have already trusted BDI Resourcing to carry out domestic permanent recruitment for clinical staff – and we would love the opportunity to assist you in securing talented clinicians for your own vacant posts too. We regularly source staff within the following specialities and grades of doctor:

Grades: FY1, FY2, Registrar (ST1/2), Core Medical Training, Registrar (ST3+), Specialty Doctor/Staff Grade, Associate Specialist, Consultant (and equivalents).

Specialities: Anaesthetics, ICU, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Acute Medicine, General Medicine and all Sub-Speciality areas (e.g. Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Elderly Care, etc.), Histopathology, Oncology, Haematology, Radiology, Surgery and all Sub-Speciality areas (e.g. Urology, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, T&O, etc).

Regions: Our recruitment teams are not split by region (that is they do not cover set geographical areas for service provision), instead they are allocated to each speciality area we cover. This means that recruiters have only one focus, allowing them to become subject matter/market experts in their area and develop excellent lists of doctors seeking new appointments. We recruit clinicians nationally across all 4 of the home nations and have a strong track record of placements in each of these regions: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

A Bespoke Approach to the Recruitment Process

We recognise that each contracting authority will approach recruitment in a different way and each has their own specific profile and demands. As a result, every time we work alongside an NHS partner, we create a bespoke campaign and adopt a client specific approach to ensure we are being as effective as possible – there is no "one size-fits all" solution when it comes to domestic permanent recruitment. In order to fully understand who we are looking for in relation to each vacancy we look to understand everything we can about the role and team; the clinical elements, the challenges involved in previous recruitment campaigns, person specifications and the wants/needs of the hiring managers/clinicians involved. It's only by knowing everything about your department, organisation and local area that we can effectively identify and sell your opportunity to potential candidates. We commit to you that without exception we will always give honest guidance throughout each stage of the recruitment process; utilising dedicated account managers, regular update meetings and weekly reports to ensure contestant communication is maintained during each hire. Strong stakeholder engagement is paramount to an effective clinical recruitment project – it's something that contributes to the repeat work we do with our NHS partners every year.

Promotion of NHS Clients

Our team have worked with over 100 NHS Trusts and Health Boards to provide domestic permanent recruitment solutions and in doing so have a breadth of experience in promoting differing profiles whilst always advocating the values of the NHS consortium through value-based recruitment.

Our dedicated in-house marketing team typically produce/engage in:

  • Electronic promotions such as blogs, vlogs, podcasts and infographics specific to the specialisms required and target location (for example we post blogs specific to royal college examinations relevant to target candidates)
  • Physical customer brochures including geographical details utilising our local expertise gained from hundreds of permanent domestic placements completed annually – these highlight regional and customer specific employee benefits
  • Educational documents and electronic materials highlighting the values of the contracting authority
  • Videos involving "Trust ambassadors" who are often placed candidates that can offer insight and guidance to prospective employees whilst promoting Trust values
  • Direct promotion at speciality specific events (both nationally and regionally). For example, we attend the annual AGM Conference with the aim of promoting our customers to Acute Medicine doctors.

All content is pushed to our vast communities of UK based doctors, both verbally via our expert team of Consultants and within social media groups/on our website (receiving hundreds of thousands of annual website views and interactions, generating more candidate registrations than any other site in the sector).

BDI Resourcing Staff Expertise

Our recruitment teams are based in 2 offices located in Bristol and London placing hundreds of UK doctors into permanent NHS roles each year. All are fully trained to sift against job descriptions and person specifications, as well as to conduct long and shortlist interviews – these use value-based techniques to test against NHS authority values, as well as pre-screen/qualifying against customer specific profile details.

BDI Resourcing staff are trained to work within niche speciality markets, allowing them to build strong relationships and develop huge networks of UK based clinicians that can be leveraged to locate the perfect doctor for your vacancy.

Candidate Retention/Pastoral Support

A dedicated in-house, relocation support team based in multiple UK locations equip us to provide a VIP concierge service when it comes to post-placement support. Our goal is to take as much of the work away from your own teams and ensure a smooth transition for staff that promotes retention in the new role. As a snapshot, our offering includes but is not limited to:

  • Dedicated 24/7 contact with an allocated relocation expert for both candidates and Trust stakeholders
  • Document collection and checking service so your HR teams don't need to spend time chasing or correcting pre-employment documentation
  • Visa application checking service to reduce errors and delays where staff are transferring using a skilled-worker visa from another UK organisation
  • Accommodation sourcing service for those relocating from another part of the UK: this includes help shipping belonging and locating suitable housing whether renting or purchasing
